The mLexicon is designed as a dictionary translating single words between English and selected language. In total it contains:

  • 190.000 English-German word pairs
  • 110.000 English-Finnish word pairs
  • 100.000 English-French word pairs
  • 77.000 English-Italian word pairs
  • 73.000 English-Spanish word pairs
Type a word you want to translate. While you are typing the application is looking for all words starting with the text you've typed already. The results of this search is presented as the English hints and the German hints (if you set German as the other language).
If one of the list already contains the word you are looking for just click on it. Clicking on the hint will give you the translation to the selected language.
The translation is presented in the right part of the screen. It is possible that you will get more than one result because the word can have several meanings in the other language. You can perform reverse translation by clicking on the word in the right panel.

Additionally to the single word translation you can translate also whole sentences. However this feature requires an internet connection as it uses the Microsoft Bing Translation Services for this purpose.
Type or paste (CMD + V) your sentence and click the Bing button in the toolbar. Your sentence is copied to the input field in the Bing dialog and the Bing server is contacted imediatelly to get your translation. The translated sentence is presented in the text field with corresponding language flag. You can save the translation pair into your database for later off-line use.
